The DuraSeal Xact™ Sealant System enhances
the delivery of the DuraSeal hydrogel in lumbar spinal
procedures to seal incidental or intentional dural
incisions. DuraSeal provides a watertight seal to
prevent the leakage of cerebrospinal fluid and to
facilitate re-operation.
The DuraSeal Xact Sealant System features the innovative
DuraSeal polyethylene glycol (PEG) hydrogel sealant
delivered through the proprietary MicroMyst™ Applicator.
When sprayed on the
dura, the sealant creates an effective watertight
seal, and stays in place for four to eight weeks
while dural tissue healing occurs naturally beneath
it. The air assisted MicroMyst Applicator with its
flexible multi-lumen shaft ensures smooth, precise
sealant application without compromising target site
visualization.
